ANSWERS TO FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

• We are open every day including holidays from 9 am till dusk unless the weather prohibits or unless we accidentally forget to open the park on time.

• There is no entrance fee for visiting the park. However, the park maintenance is paid for by donations from the public and the family that privately owns the park. We encourage everyone that visits to make a donation.

• Dogs are allowed but must be kept on a leash at all times and under control. We also ask that you properly dispose of any mess your dog may leave behind.

• Yes, we allow birthday parties. You have a couple of options. We charge $50 to reserve the pavilion for a two hour time period. You would need to call our office at 618-457-4334 and ask for Fern Palmer to check the date you are wanting and get instructions on where to bring your payment. You also can set up a table underneath the trees or in an open area for free. If you do choose to set up your own table, we ask that you pick a spot that allows open access to all park features for the general public and that you carry out any excessive trash. Please also consider making a donation of your choosing to the park for use of the facilities.

• The office for the park is the grey and white Victorian building located across from the main entrance to the park on Homewood Dr. Our office is open Monday through Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. We have souvenirs available for sale in our office.
